What’s behind door # 3 ?

In my DIY section, I want to share insight about the inner workings at the dealership.

For instance, many clients I met simply considered options given to them. Option number 1. trading in their car at the dealership (and being systematically upset about the trade value) and number 2. selling their cars privately.  But, did you know there’s a 3rd option that exists !?  Option 3 is called an accommodation sale and dealerships seldom speak about it.

Why ?  Because 1. often times it’s a service they don’t charge for and 2. it’s more admin work for them.  The only times I heard my managers propose an accommodation sale to a client, is when they felt they were losing a potential sale.  My question to you is simple, why not do the market research yourself to make some extra money !?  In many cases I’ve seen clients gain upwards of thousands more dollars, simply by doing an accommodation sale.

Keep in mind, an accommodation sale will only work if you are planning to purchase a new vehicle because you are making a private sale and using the dealership to facilitate the paperwork for you.  You may need to wait a little longer before getting that new car in the driveway, but you’ll be a little richer.  The choice is yours !
